Individual Advising -- Elly Swartz
I love helping students find their voice at such a pivotal moment in their lives. As an author of children's books, a lawyer and a former teacher of Legal Research and Writing at Boston University School of Law, I understand the writing process, and can help your child find his unique voice to share his story. As the mother of two boys who have successfully gone through the college application process (one a junior at Middlebury College and the other on his way to join his brother next year), I understand the application process and the stresses that can accompany it.
I tailor my services to fit your child's needs. Whether we brain storm, edit a draft or simply discuss what pitfalls to avoid. I can help.
My individual advising goes beyond the student, to the parent. The college application process can be confusing. What is Naviance, EDI, EDII, rolling admissions, early action? Should my child send his ACT or SAT scores? When should we hit send? Without answers to these questions, the process can feel overwhelming. I can help. I am available to answer questions, clarify the process, lend support and offer advice.
Additional services I offer are resume editing and interview prep.
